A group of 25 kids will start an adventurous two weeks full of new experiences and surprises on the 2nd of August for. These are the pupils of Gdańskie Domy dla Dzieci, Gdansk Foundation of Social Innovation as well as the kids supported by a Rotary Sopot International.
Among them 19 children will have an incredible opportunity to participate in the English Camp and have a great fun, study and meet other kids. We can’t wait to meet all of them!
We kindly request you to support our project at https://www.wspolnyprojekt.pl/pl/projekty/lets_do_robots The main topic of the upcoming English Summer Camp is automation and engineering. The children will be constructing their own robots which will be pacing in the labyrinths, also to be made by the kids.
For that, we need your support! Each Polish zloty donated will make a difference, because only with this collected money we will buy the needed materials. Please register yourself and support our project at www.wspolnyprojekt.pl
Additionally, you can also take part in a competition (https://www.wspolnyprojekt.pl/konkurs/), no matter if you contribute to our project or not. It would be enough, if you could vote for us and invite your friends to like our project as well. Our project is entitled: ‘Let’s do Robots’. If you invite your friends you will also have a chance to win prizes plus we will receive the extra donation for ESC 2014.
English Summer Camp 2014 program`s preparations are in full swing. This year we`ve decided to take up the topic of automatic control engineering and robotics. That`s why the main objective of the Camp will be to construct robots. First attempts to build a model which will be constructed by the younger and older participants of ESC 2014, have already been made. What is more, another part of our mysterious plan is to build labyrinths.
Here there are some photos from testing. Does it seem quite promising? 🙂 Please follow our profile on FB, as soon we are going to invite you for the event connected to this idea.
In June 11th PMI Gdańsk Branch volunteers together with the people working on the next English Summer Camp edition took part in Forum Inicjowania Rozwoju.
This forum was a one-day conference about cross-sectoral cooperation, which main goal is to spread best practices between different sectors. The English Camp initiative was invited to this event and had an opportunity to present their achievements during the session devoted to good practices in the implementation of cross-sectoral projects. Katarzyna Gralla, Adriana Grzenkowicz &
Wojciech Tyborowski spoke about this to almost 250 conference participants that were present this year. In the afternoon an active session “Training of generating cross-sectoral projects” led Pzemysław Kotecki, newly elected president of PMI Gdańsk Branch together with few moderators.
In order to organize next camp, our great volunteer team has to collect the funds. Although we have a lot of different ideas, it would not hurt us to learn more about fundraising, tools that we could use and simply how to make it good and efficient.
That’s why we organized, for the second time, workshops with Maria Olszewska, certified Fundraiser. During six hours we have been studying not only about the tools, but also practicing initiating contact with new people. We have also sorted out our current ideas and come up with some new ones. Based on participants’ opinion that was an amazing workshop, which hopefully will result in gaining funds for the upcoming English Summer Camp.
We would like to thank Maria for devoting the time and preparing great workshops for us!

Definitely one of the greatest days for English Summer Camp 2013 participants was Tuesday, August 13. For the second time together with Reserved Kids, the brand that belongs to our Gold Sponsor LPP S.A. we were able to organize a charity fashion show for our children, who were playing the role of models. This event took place in the Complex Szarlota near Kościerzyna.
For that day children were preparing since the beginning of the camp. With enthusiasm and a little bit of stage-fright they presented us spring – summer clothes collection of Reserved Kids, and their own paintings, that were presenting their own hobbies. Thanks to the LPP designers besides Reserved Kids collection we could see as well the elements of men and women clothes.
The fashion show, whcih was the main event of that day was very popular, that day representatives of our sponsors (LPP, Thomosn Reuters, Office+, HK Finance, Geoban, Rotary International), our partners (Invest in Pomeranie, Rotaract Trójmiasto, Obiektywni.pl, Fundacja Hospicyjna), our volunteers, guests that were resting in Szarlota came to meet with our children and admire them. Additionally, besides mentioned fashion show, there was also an opportunity to integrate, take part in the bonfire and listen to the Balkan music.
We recommend you to visit our camp website, where you cand find more pictures from this and other events. The pictures that made for us Artur Łopatniuk on the fashion show you can find here. Some of them we publish on this page.
Many thanks to all who came that day for the show, people who actively supported this event and prepare it. Above all we would like to Thank our Gold Sponsor – LPP SA and brand Reserved Kids, without which we would have never succeeded.
This Friday, October 4th, a group of 12 children awarded during English Summer Camp 2013 is going for a trip to Warsaw. With the help of Bayer, children will have the opportunity to visit Baylab (http://baylab.bayer.com.pl/), where children will be able to get to know closely the chemical, physical and biological phenomenons. Additionally, there will be some more attractions, which will inform you about soon.
